Principal: Megan Baker

Hello Audubon Elementary!

I am thrilled to introduce myself as the first principal of Audubon Elementary School. My name is Dr. Megan Baker, and I am honored to be a part of this wonderful school and its community.

I have always had a passion for education, which led me to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Education from Sam Houston State University. I began my teaching journey in 1999 in Montgomery ISD, where I spent 15 years teaching 2nd and 4th grade. During my time there, I witnessed the incredible impact that dedicated educators can have on young minds.

Driven by a desire to further contribute to the field of education, I earned my Master's degree in Administration from Lamar University and embarked on a new chapter as the Assistant Principal at Magnolia Parkway in 2014. It was in doing this work that I truly discovered my passion for leadership and the opportunity it provides to shape the educational experience for all students.

In 2017, I was appointed as the principal of Magnolia Parkway Elementary, where I had the privilege of working with a dedicated team of educators and staff. While serving at MPES, I pursued and achieved my Doctorate in Educational Leadership with an Emphasis in Literacy in 2021 from the University of Houston. This experience deepened my understanding of the importance of literacy in fostering a love for learning and academic success.

At Audubon Elementary, I am committed to creating a nurturing, inclusive, and academically challenging learning environment for all students. I believe that every child deserves a safe and supportive space to grow, learn, and thrive. The physical safety and mental well-being of our students and staff are my top priorities. I have no doubts that together, with the Audubon community, we will foster an environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and a love for learning.

I am excited to partner with parents, guardians, teachers, and community members to ensure the success of every student at Audubon Elementary. With a strong parent-school partnership, I am confident we will create a vibrant and engaging learning community that prepares our students for a very bright and empowering future.
