School Nurse

Hello! My name is Toni Gates. I have been a Registered Nurse for 12 years. My background is primarily Labor and Delivery, where I found my passion caring for mothers and babies. My family and I moved to Magnolia in the spring, after living abroad for a few years, and are happy to be making this community our home. I am thrilled to be here for your children at Audubon Elementary as the School Nurse. I am dedicated to providing excellent, compassionate care to ensure our students thrive. My goal is to support every child in having a healthy and successful school year.

The information below is designed to help provide information and online resources to our parents and community regarding bullying, mental health, drug education, and much more.

Magnolia ISD is committed to equipping our parents and community with the resources to continue to promote healthy lifestyles among students and to help students remain drug-free during crucial years of learning and social development. The District encourages parents and families to have meaningful conversations with their child(ren) about resisting peer pressure to participate in drugs.

The District has a random drug testing policy and a voluntary parent option. The random drug testing policy is for students participating in school-sponsored extracurricular activities and students who purchase a parking permit. The voluntary parent option is for parents wishing to confidentially drug test their son/daughter.

Our mission is to provide a prime learning environment and to promote school health services for our students to maintain a healthy, safe and successful school experience. Magnolia ISD provides professional health services in order to assist and support our families to ensure the success of our students. Each school campus has a health clinic that consists of a registered nurse or licensed vocational nurse that is full-time.
